Christmas and New Years

We had a great few weeks enjoying time with family and friends. We started things off the week before Christmas by taking our annual trip to Macy's to see the Christmas display with Joel, Kelly, Owen and Gavin. We then watched the Holidazzle parade from inside The Newsroom. The parade was a little too slow moving to keep Cooper's attention but we had a really fun time.
My family was here leading up to Christmas and then we went to Ankeny on Christmas Day to celebrate with the Caruth's. The time went so fast! Cooper was really cute opening his gifts, he would pull the paper a little bit, get a sneak peek of what was inside and quickly say, "Open please!" Snowmen seemed to be the highlight of the season. He was obsessed with all of the snowmen ornaments on the tree, loved reading Frosty The Snowman, and would always say, "Hi Snowman, " or "Bye bye Snowman," to the window decorations by his changing table.
Joel, Kelly and the boys, along with the Springer family came over for New Years. The kids had a great time playing, and once they were all in bed we enjoyed an amazing king crab leg dinner. I was pretty impressed, we all stayed up past 1am!
Again, it was a really great couple of weeks that we were so happy to spend with family and friends.
