Christmas 2014

Such a wonderful Christmas season we had; full of fun with family and friends.  The boys had a great time searching around the house each morning to see where our Elf Fredrick had moved to and if he was up to any tricks.  They sang lots of Christmas songs at school, got to meet a real reindeer, made us adorable Christmas ornaments for the tree and both did an AMAZING job in their school Christmas program.  Cooper was quite theatrical in his role as Inn Keeper and a Shepard.  Drew got a huge smile on his face each time the audience clapped.
Santa came to Nana and Gumpa's for another surprise visit.  The boys were thrilled to see him and Cooper was extremely chatty!  Grant liked him from a distance and was most impressed with his jingle bells.  Logan pretty much didn't want anything to do with him.  All the boys were currently on the nice list so that was a relief to all.
We celebrated Caruth Christmas the Sunday before Christmas.  Such a fun night!  We really had a great time, and were able to enjoy a few more extra days with Grandma and Grandpa Caruth full of play dates, a viewing of Merry Christmas Charlie Brown play, card games and sushi dinner in St. Paul.
Christmas Eve was spent making cookies and pictures for Santa, and one last trip to Target so the boys could pick out a gift for each other.  Cooper was very thoughtful with his selection and had a hard time deciding.  I think Drew simply picked out something he would have fun playing with too ;)  After Drew's nap we went to my parents church for a really nice service.  The boys liked the carols we were able to sing and candlelight at the end.  Then off to Nana and Gumpa's for dinner, presents, and a viewing of their favorite movie, Little Rascals.  Props to Uncle Danny for the ADORABLE jammies, so cute!  We had a really nice evening, but called it a night a little earlier than we had hoped since it was 11pm and Drew was STILL AWAKE!
Could not have been more impressed with the boys sleeping in abilities on Christmas morning!  Cooper didn't get up until 7:45am and Drew slept until 8:45!  Cooper was such a trooper about waiting until Drew woke up to open any presents.  He passed the time with some hot chocolate and playing with new toys from the night before.  The rest of the day was spent in pajamas doing nothing but playing with their new toys, and a nap for Drew. Legos were probably the biggest hit of the day.  Nana and Gumpa stopped by for a visit late afternoon.  The boys were so excited to show them their new gifts and Gumpa got a few rounds in with Cooper on the Wii playing his new dance party video game.  Other than Jennon and I having colds it was a fantastic week full of great memories.

The boys were surprised to find Polar Express tickets on their pillows one night before bed.  We then drove around looking at Christmas lights in our pajamas.
