We had such a fun weekend celebrating our nephew Owen's 5th birthday and Drew's baptism. Pastor Crosby did such a nice job with the baptism and Drew did great. Cooper loves to "read" Drew's new bible which consists of him opening it up and singing Jesus Loves Me ; )

A fun week

I had a couple of cute pictures from the last week that I wanted to share. The first is Cooper's hair after getting up Saturday morning. That is not from static! Exactly how the little guy looked when he woke up that morning! The next is a picture of Drew sporting a pair of jeans for the first time. We have struggled a bit with Drew sleeping at night so after one night of the Ferber Method he is now doing great at night and at nap time. The smiling picture is him one morning after a great nights sleep! The final two are from the Dolphin Show at the zoo. Cooper LOVED it, and Drew woke up just in time to see a few flips, he was also quite impressed ; )
These little guys have such wonderful personalities, are so full of joy, and just bring smiles to my face each and every day.

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Jennon started his birthday celebration by dinner at Manny's with his Dad and Joel on Saturday night. Then off they went to the Monster Truck show. Not sure if that is even what it is called, but they saw Monster Trucks none the less. Owen joined them for the truck part and he was in absolute heaven. The guys all had a great time, and Cooper has loved watching some of the video clips on Jennon's phone.
This morning Jennon received a video of Cooper singing happy birthday to him. The best part is the very end where he sings in a really low and deep voice, "and many more!" We then picked Jennon up from work and headed to Potbelly for lunch. We had a tasty dinner and AMAZING dessert. The boys made Jennon a crown to wear complete with Cooper's handprints and Drew's footprints. Jennon wore the crown while we sang happy birthday to him and enjoyed Chantilly Cake from Whole Foods. I am not much of a cake person, but this is seriously the best cake I have ever had! Good chance this will become a new staple for any sort of celebration at our house.
To a wonderful husband and amazing father, happy birthday! We couldn't love you more and appreciate all you do for our family. We are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Drew is 5 months old!
Drewbird celebrated his 5 month birthday today with some rice cereal and sweet potato! The little guy gobbled it right up and only got sad when I was trying to get more food on the spoon! I think we will have another good little eater on our hands. Although we are still struggling with sleeping at night he is doing great. Drew has become a lot more animated and is in to touching EVERYTHING. He also loves looking at himself in the mirror. One of his new favorites is doing the actions to Itsy Bitsy Spider with Jennon. That is what they are doing in the green striped jammy pictures. Drew has started joining Cooper and me at Kindermusic class on Wednesday mornings and he loves it! Little guy is just wide eyed and taking everything in during the entire class. Still very drooly and often has his hands in his mouth so are thinking we might see a few teeth pop through here soon.
Take care!
Beth
Winter Fun

We finally got a little bit of snow and it was all Cooper needed to have some fun with Daddy, Gumpa, and his sled.
A funny random story:
I took Cooper in to get his hair trimmed the other day. When she was all done cutting it Cooper was checking himself out in the mirror and said to me, "Mommy, where did my mullet go?"

Happy New Year and 4 month check up
Happy New Year! We had a fun night ringing in the new year at our house with wonderful friends. Our dear friends the Krager's were in town which made the next extra special. On a typical night Cooper is usually in bed by 8, around 8:30pm on New Years Eve I saw him walking upstairs. I asked him where he was going and he said, "To put my pajamas on." No objections from Mommy, thrilled to not have to coax him away from the party to go to bed.
Random but funny Cooper story. The boys and I were in the playroom yesterday afternoon and Cooper needed to blow his nose. I couldn't find the kleenex box so asked Cooper to get some toilet paper from the bathroom. I guess I should have also instructed him to tare off the toilet paper from the roll because out he comes with the entire roll of toilet paper trailing behind him ; )
Drew had his 4 month check up on Tuesday and seems to be right on track. His stats are:
Weight- 15.1 lbs, 60%
Height- 25.5 in, 52%
Head- 17.25, 82%
Some Drew facts:
Loves to play peek a boo and patty cake
Often holds his hands together like he is praying, especially when asleep
Very chatty and loves to laugh
Loves to snuggle in Cooper's big boy bed with him
Loves to play with (gnaw on) his giraffe Sophie
Recently started getting up three times throughout the night :( We were doing so well before Christmas and he was often only getting up once, maybe twice. Hoping to get closer to that soon!
Still not a huge fan of tummy time but with 82% head I really can't blame him
He is a drooling machine and you will rarely see him without a bib
We couldn't love this little guy any more and are so blessed that he is growing happy and healthy.
