Drew Turns 2!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our sweet little Drew turning 2, but I'm not going to lie, I am a little sad that he is already 2 years old.  Where has the time gone?!  He has obviously grown and developed so much, and is developing such a funny little personality.  He is constantly making us laugh.  We had his 2 year check up yesterday and he has had quite the growth spurt since his last check up.  He now weighs 28 1/2 lbs which is 58% for his age, and is 35 1/2 inches tall which is 85%.

A few things Drew loves:
Taking Gus for walks down the driveway in the morning, he always insists on holding the leash ;)
Sharing a room with his big brother.  He always shouts, "Goodnight Cooper!" when getting put into his crib.  He will continue to say it until Cooper tells him goodnight in return.
Loves to dance and race around the couch.
Loves to eat hummus, easily his favorite food.
Favorite toys are cars/bulldozers and balls.  Anytime he sees a basketball or a basketball hoop he shouts, "basket hoop!"  He is also obsessed with phones and vacuum cleaners.
Loves to wake up early :( His routine now is usually in bed by 7 and up by 6.  We have tried putting him down later but he actually wakes up even earlier when that happens!
He often requests sticky cheerios for breakfast and now insists on having milk poured in the bowl with them.  Such a big boy!
His favorite books are still anything about bulldozers or the Llama Llama series.

I had planned to have a little Fair themed birthday party for Drew since his birthday falls around the time of the MN State Fair.  The highlight was going to be pony rides in our front cul de sac.  Unfortunately, it was too hot for the ponies so it had to turn in to more of a sprinkler party with fair food.  We served a version of corn dogs, bbq pork sandwiches, watermelon on a stick, veggies on a stick, kettle corn, and Sweet Drew's Chocolate Chip Cookies.  The ponies weren't even missed, Drew had a wonderful time celebrating with his family and friends.

We couldn't love you more Drewbird!  You bring so much joy to our lives and have made our family complete.

 So thankful we opened Grandma and Grandpas gift early.  The mini golf course was a hit with our party guests!
